Ban on film ads in news channels?
Filmmakers
and News Channels were in a big shock when it was revealed that the AP
Film Chamber of Commerce is considering a ban on advertising films in
news channels.
Apparently,
the film chamber has claimed that this would bring down the film’s
budget since the money being spent on promoting the film would be cut
off. So far, only advertising of films in news channels is being
considered, whereas no change has been proposed for film advertising in
General Entertainment channels.
Let’s
see what impact it would have on the film industry with this latest
move by the film chamber. The film chamber is trying every trick in the
book to put a check on the intensifying costs.
