Six Indian scripts for Venice Film Festival

The National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) has been promoting Indian films in the international markets through its Film Bazaar project. It has recently successfully marketed world-wide the films – I Am Kalam, Onir’s I Am, Dibakar Banerjee’s Love Sex Aur Dhoka and Anurag Kashyap’s That Girl In Yellow Boots.
The NFDC has now selected six scripts for promotion during the ongoing Venice International Film Festival (VIFF).
They are : Aliya Curmally’s Toxic City, Megha Ramaswamy’s Girls, Ritesh Batra’s Dabba, Vasant Nath’s Sebastian Wants to Remember, Deepti Datt’s Dear Mira, and Sharat Katariya Dum Laga Ke Haisha.
It is because of the efforts of NFDC’s Film Bazar, that Indie Pix has for US released Anurag Kashyap’s That Girl In Yellow Boots with 30 prints in the US, all in non-NRI theaters.
